Cypress River Mural Wallpaper by Ilaria Pancrazzi | Romantic English

Ladies and gentlemen, some walls are papered; others are painted by hand, brushstroke by brushstroke, by an artist standing on a ladder with the whole room for a canvas. The Cypress River Mural began life as exactly that: a fresco-style mural painted directly onto a wall by the Italian mural artist Ilaria Pancrazzi. We have photographed her original at high resolution and printed it, to your wall's measurements, as a wallpaper mural, so the room she painted can become yours.

An old, twin-trunked tree rises from a sandy bank where a slow river bends away into the countryside. Cypresses stand like quiet sentinels to the left, an umbrella pine crowns the far meadow, and bulrushes lean over the water in the foreground.

Look closely and you will see the painter at work: the flicker of each leaf, the drag of the brush through the water, the soft texture of paint on plaster. Nothing has been redrawn or tidied away. This is her hand, faithfully reproduced.

About the artist

Ilaria Pancrazzi is an Italian mural painter. She paints landscapes directly onto the walls of homes, in the spirit of the painted rooms of Italian villas: river valleys, cypresses, umbrella pines and wide summer skies, each made by hand, in place, one wall at a time.

A Romantic English collaboration

The Ilaria Pancrazzi collection is made in partnership with the artist herself. Every mural is licensed directly from Ilaria, and she shares in every sale, so when her landscape comes home to your wall, the painter is part of the story too.
